Darlington Raceway NASCAR Track Panorama Framed Print, Blakeway, Poster Caption: This aerial panorama of Darlington Raceway was taken by Christopher Gjevre during a scheduled NASCAR Nextel Cup race. Built on a piece of land that once produced peanuts and cotton in Darlington, South Carolina, Darlington Raceway is known as the track “Too Tough to Tame.” From its first race on Labor Day 1950 until today, Darlington Raceway, now an ultra-modern facility, has maintained its feisty charm after more than a half-century of racing. This unique egg-shaped 1.366-mile track is still remembered as the original superspeedway and as one of the pillars of the NASCAR establishment. The print is mounted and backed up with foam core. The frame is black aluminum with glass. Outside dimensions are 13.75 inches x 40.25 inches . It measures almost 1 inch out from the wall and is .375 of an inch wide with a rounded profile (front).
